Tathastu Home

Tathastu is an ancient Sanskrit word meaning ‘So Be It’.  It is a form of blessing from Gods.  People prayed to Gods to have their wishes fulfilled.   If the Gods were pleased, they granted them and said, ‘Tathastu – So Be It’. It also has a deeper meaning that relates to Karma – efforts, and rewards.  Actions have consequences. We need to make right efforts to improve our life and bring more happiness in it. Often, it is difficult to even know what specifically are the issues and what we need to focus on to be happier.

My background is in data science and analysis. I worked for over 25 years in the Silicon Valley in California, designing marketing application systems to understand consumer behavior on a variety of data attributes. At the same time, I have been fascinated with the concept of happiness. What is happiness, what makes people happy, and what can they do to be happier.

I retired from my high-tech life in 2016. I decided to apply my training and experience in data systems and analysis to create a concrete, specific and facts based system for people to measure their own life on key parameters and improve their happiness. I came up with a system called Four Pillars of Happiness. I tested this theory for several years on myself and a few trusted others and validated it. It turns out that it is solid and holds. I began conducting happiness workshops after Covid-19 when people were facing a lot of anxiety These workshops have helped many people.
